In a Nutshell

The last few weeks have been a little crazy. We've been busy with doctor appointments, work, travel, house projects, plus adjusting to the time change.

Yes it did snow here twice last week. And no I did not get any still pics ( just video). We weren't able to let kids outside to play because Jerzy was pretty sick those days.

We've been trying to get Knox's tummy issues figured out- that's the reason for the many doctor visits. When I say doctor visits, I also mean x-rays, upper gi, lab work, etc. He's on Prevacid right now. We saw the pediatric gastroenterologist yesterday who gave us a few possible theories. The easiest to test first is a milk protein allergy, which could possibly explain the reflux/vomiting as well as the eczema and chronic congestion. So we are doing a trial milk elimination diet here. So bubba has been switched to rice milk in his bottles and cups. He seems to like it just fine. For those of you who are curious...it's thinner than skim milk, with just a little off-flavor. It's not bad....but... anyways... that's not the hard part. The hard part around here is going to be finding a replacement for the cheeses and yogurts we eat so much of. The girls have already been educated ( I know they will need regular reminders) to not share their cheese and yogurt with Knox.

Jerzy was sick last week with some sort of bug that wiped her out for a few days. This week was
Shelby's turn. She was so not herself that we made a trip to the pedi yesterday, it wasn't flu, it wasn't strep-- they said it was viral tonsillitis. Her tonsils were nasty. Today she's been fever free and back to most of her "normal" behaviors. So that's a blessing.

We are gearing up for Easter activities. The girls filled plastic eggs today in prep for their playgroup egg hunt tomorrow at the park. They are very excited about their eggs and baskets.

Knox is not walking yet. He has taken a few steps on his own, but he still prefers to crawl , climb or cruise his way around the house.

Have a good weekend.
